Compton Fellows

Home content

Building Bridges, the Compton Fellows website, is a platform for building community and sharing resources. It provides a forum for the Fellows and the Coordinators to post information about grants, conferences, publications, employment opportunities, etc., and also a venue through which Fellows can find each other, share knowledge and contacts, and continue to build bridges across disciplines and geography.

The goal of the website is to enable Compton Fellows to continue the camaraderie fostered by the Camp Miniwanca experience, and expand it to include the entire multi-year Compton Fellowship community. Among the various features, Building Bridges includes a comprehensive database that allows Fellows to search for others working on the same issue or in the same region. It also provides a calendar where you can post or find information about events that may be of interest to some or all of the other Fellows.

The value of this website depends mostly on the active contributions of the community it is designed to serve. Building Bridges is intended to facilitate interaction among Compton Fellows by enabling them to keep in touch, keep up to date on one another's work and interests, share event information, engage in dialogs, etc. This site offers a collection of tools to serve this end, which are listed in the navigation on the left. The Site Introduction includes instructions on how to use each of the features.

This website is designed for you and we want your feedback. Please email your coordinator with any suggestions you may have for ways to make it more useful. To reach your coordinator, login and then click on "Profiles" under the heading "Tools for Building Bridges".
